Bra Storage And More

When I switched to the Pearl in 2006 I began carrying my cell phone in my bra. It was convenient, easy to reach and didn't create those terrible bulges in my pocket. If you recall, one of the things I didn't like about the Motorola Droid is it couldn't fit in my bra. With the Incredible I am back to bra phone carrying.

Today, I noticed this article entitled "lady your chest is ringing" which shows a woman at the World Cup carrying her phone in the center of her bra rather than on the side. She didn't have much available room either....This caused me to go to Google for additional investigation where I discovered a Bra being used as a hands free device. Then there is the bra that has a solar panel installed that can charge your phone. And the best? The bra with pockets that Laura and I have wanted to bring to market. Dang, somebody always beats you to it.

Will Share My Opinion

The National Opinion Network-Infant Division is seeking my opinion. First off, of course I love being asked for my opinion but what is the likelihood of me actually participating? If it was online-maybe but for something that requires a trip to the mailbox there is absolutely no way.

And is the only qualifier the fact they I had a baby this year? How can I qualify for more interesting divisions? Maybe the Droid vs Blackberry division or the Dell vs Apple division or even the Reality Television division. The infant division.....really?

Jane: The Hatchet Girl

Two nights before her wedding Jane did some photo editing. As I watched the editing unfold I began to discover a trend, Ash was being mutilated. There were shoulder amputations, several ears were haphazardly cut off, a couple of arms, half of his face was missing and in at least one case, his entire face was missing.

Then we saw the edit of Jane's photos, all intact with the exception of some strands of hair cut off.

Shaved Iced In So Cal

Yesterday, Dad and I stopped and this Hawaiian Shaved Ice Place in San Clemente. It is the only Shaved Ice place I know of in all of Southern California and I have been wanting to try it ever since I saw it. Could it compare to Bahama Bucks? It's not bad, but it's not Bahama Bucks either.

The best part? It was dad's first time having shaved ice and we decided to share it. I let him pick the flavors and what do you think we ended up with? Strawberry and Bannana with creme....I guess the apple (or Strawberry) doesn't fall from the tree.

The Strong Willed Child

I bought this book the other day in order to learn how to better deal with a certain someone. Before even getting a chance to open the book it was taken by Sydney who has declared it her book (my book, my book!) She won't give it back, it slept with her yesterday and today it took a trip to grandma's.

Is she trying to get tips? Is she trying to learn the strategy of the enemy? Do I even have a chance?

Spa Night With The Girls

After seeing Queen B's post entitled "Heaven" I decided to get my foot spa out. David got this for me when I was pregnant with Sydney and I think I have only used it once until tonight. Sydney, Brooke and I took our turns in the foot spa massage and then we all three had our feet in at once. After that Sydney, Katie and I had our toes painted. Great gift, honey!

New Seats In San Jose International

The new chairs at the airport in San Jose have two built-in power outlets (holes for you Seinfeld watchers) and a usb power source.

San Jose is turning into a really nice airport for business travelers, now that there are two Starbucks as well it is easily my favorite.

The Guadalajara Dog

Last summer I took Laura Martin to Pinks for a chili cheese dog. While waiting in line we reviewed the extensive menu and specifically noticed the Guadalajara Dog and commented that I seriously doubt that they put Sour Cream on their hot dogs in Guadalajara. I checked with Leo and Alexander (two of our associates in Guadalajara) and they confirmed that Sour Cream, tomatoes, onions and relish are found on hotdogs in Guadalajara.

Tonight I decided to make two different style hot dogs, the first was a guacamole dog and the second was the Guadalajara dog. The Guacamole dog was just ok, I'd never make it again but I definitely recommend you try the Guadalajara dog, it was absolutely fantastic.

Sonny Simon Sauer

Rachel and Kevin have been keeping the baby's name a secret (I think because they can) a couple of months ago I dreamed that they had named the baby Simon. While Simon is a fine name I remember thinking in the dream, "Everybody has been waiting for 9 months and the best you could come up with was Simon?" I haven't given it further thought until today when I was speaking with Laura and the following conversation ensued:

Kim: Well the baby is sunny side up
Laura: Aw man
Kim: I hate it called sunny side up, reminds me of an egg. The medical community needs to come up with another description or can they just say not face down.
Laura: Maybe they'll name the baby Sonny

Quick Trip to Disneyland

We took a quick trip to the Happiest Place on Earth today.

Sandbox, Toys, and Shoes

We made an impromptu stop at the Krueger house today and the kids were immediately in the back yard playing. The sandbox had it's cover on and the three of them were playing on the swing set. About ten minutes later Becca and I went outside and found the following. Can't wait for the beach!!!!

Accent colors changed from time to time but overall the look and feel stayed the same since 2006. Today, it was updated and so here I pay tribute to the first 3 and 1/2 years of the Kim1Champ blog.

P.S. Not sure I like the new format, we'll see if it sticks.

New Way of Making Tacos

A couple of weeks ago I decided instead of layering the toppings on my tacos I would combine it all in a bowl and then scoop into the shell. FANTASTIC! I will likely never make the traditional way again. Ingredients included, Cheddar/Jack blend, shredded beef, tomatoes, sour cream, guacamole,onions and lettuce with a touch of oil and cider vinegar.
