Kodak Theatre No More

The Kodak Theatre was renamed earlier this year (when Kodak declared bankrupcy &) when Dolby signed a 20 year deal to take on the name.

Splash Cafe (The Toppings & More)

Two good splash stories from last week. (1) They are now selling it at our local Coscto and tastes delicious (2) Went to Splash in San Luis Obispo and in addition to the seafood topping I tried the new bacon topping. I usually operate under the assumption that everything is better with bacon but this time I thought it overpowered the already awesome chowder and so I won't try it again. I might try some of their other toppings as they also now have extra clams, scallions and a few others.

Off The Hookah....

Yesterday, I get this picture from Andrea with a note that this made her think of me. I know I am thought of often when I folks see a 22 however I have never smoked (is that what you do with it?) Hookah but apparently it also makes people think of me. LOL. Later, I took a picture a of" Llama Llama time to share" and I thought of Andrea.

My New Necklace

It cost me $3.00 on Etsy and I love it!

Disneyland Date With Brooker

Sydney and David declined Disneyland today so I got a special date with the girl who wanted to go to Disneyland. We got there, entered via the Monorail and saw the second half of the parade. After the parade we hit Dumbo, Winnie the Pooh and the Jungle Cruise. I kept asking Brooke "Do you want to go to the Carousel", "Do you want to go on the white boat", "Do you want to to go on the Pirate ride" and to each she would respond "I want to go to Disneyland". When we left Adventure Land and she saw the castle (for the first time today) she screamed in the most excited voice "There it is, Disneyland!" I love this girl!

A Quick Swim At The Cove

The girls went swimming in the jacuzzi this afternoon. We love Thomas Cove!!!!

Saving Mr Banks

Tonight, in Hollywood David and I were walking outside of Hollywood and Highland and stumbled upon the filming of "Saving Mr Banks" at Grauman's Chinese Theatre. The movie is about the making of Mary Poppins and stars Tom Hanks and Emma Thompson. In addition to "Savings Mr Banks" we had dinner at The Grill on Hollywood and took in a Mark Knopfler concert at the Hollywood Bowl! Great Evening!

These girls just adore animals! This was Brooke's first time on a horse and she was so proud of herself! They loved it so much that we may have to go back.

Swollen Feet

I have traveled numerous times (almost every trip) wearing heals all day but a couple of weeks ago I walked what seemed like forever in my red  heels. From a 7:00AM trip to Burbank, all through St Rose San Martin and then from 1:00PM-7:00PM at the Physician Symposium in Mandalay Bay. After Mandalay Bay it was dinner and I didn't get back to the hotel room until 10:30PM. My feet were killing me so bad and when I saw how swollen they were (and knew I only had another pair of heels for the next day) I made an ice bath in the ice bucket-yup I told you that hurt.

22 People Saved Off Boat

Greystone Mansion Beverly Hills

During our Hollywood Tour we stopped at Greystone Mansion. This mansion has appeared in tons of movies and television shows including a recent episode of one of my favorites, Revenge. I was fascinated by the stone work in the courtyard of the mansion. I think the colors and shapes are really cool looking and when I was here I realized that I don't take advantage of all the cool things to do in Southern California. Expect more random Socal pictures in the coming months.
