The last trip of 2015

I'm So Busy....

But that doesn't stop me from doing some much needed space planning for Disneyland. I have become increasingly annoyed at the evening crowds and constant areas that are basically closed because the crowds are so bad you have to walk around a whole land instead of going directly to your destination. For years I have been bothered by the Fantasmic shutdown that occurs in New Orleans square and now basically you have the same problem with fireworks and The Paint the night parade. Let's not forget that during that time Fantasyland and Toon Town are closed as well. It makes for frustration and chaos everywhere.

In fairness, they are trying to make it better but I am convinced that without construction of more walkways they cannot be successful. I am proposing a reroute of the Disneyland railroad and a walkway in its place on the outside. I am also proposing a re-do of the hub similar to Magic Kingdoms re-do which gave us the best view with no chaos of Celebrate the Magic. I know space is limited but come on people let's figure it out. And now back to work....developing a solution.

 

Season Of The Force

Season of the Force is awesome! The Darth Vader experience was really cool and Herspace Mountain was amazing! We all agreed it was the best ride layover ever-the Star Wars music made it absolutely perfect. We can't wait to go back and ride it again.

Two Rides and Dinner-It's Enough

We hadn't been in a few months so we headed to Disneyland on Monday night. We  had dinner, went on Peter Pan and Thunder Mountain before heading out. Even two hours is awesome at the Happiest Place on Earth! After spending a full day at the beach with Becca the girls were beat on the way home.

Miss Megan Doesn't Approve

Two trips to Ariel's Grotto couldn't have delivered more different Ariel's. I asked Miss Megan for her thoughts and she didn't approve of either. For the record I was ok with Sydney's but Brooke's was downright terrible.

Happy 60th Anniversary Disneyland!

On the 60th anniversary of Disneyland's opening I celebrate by sharing my latest Disneyland artwork. This was completed by a Disney Imagineer and this is a signed and numbered edition. It is no coincidence that this is number 22!

Kind People Give Stickers

I gave these stickers I found to Brooke. A few minutes later she was asking me how to spell "kind people give stickers". She put them in this folder and announced that she wants to take them to Disneyland and give them to kids. She is so adorable! 

Kicking Off Summer At the Disneyland Hotel

We kicked off summer a few weeks ago by staying two nights at the Disneyland Hotel! It was the first time for us and we had a blast-the details of the hotel were awesome. We checked in right after school and then went to Disneyland. It was a night of firsts with Sydney experiencing California Screaming for the first time, Sydney and Abbey riding Matterhorn for the first time, all the Krueger kids seeing Paint the Night and Disneyland 60th fireworks for the first time and the first time for all of us staying at the Disneyland hotel.

The next day we swam in the pool at the Disneyland hotel and the kids loved the monterail waterslides. Dinner was at downtown Disney and breakfast the next morning was at Steakhouse 65. Great times!

A Disneyland Night of Firsts

1. The girls first time on Grizzly River Run
2. Our first time eating at Storytellers Cafe (likely last, it was just ok)
3. My first time buying clothes because I was soaked
4. My first time entering Disneyland and not getting past the Magic shop on Main Street
5. The girls first time seeing Paint the Night
6. The girls first time seeing Disneyland Forever

Brooke loved Paint the Night

Sydney loved Disneyland Forever (I even cried happy tears holding her) It was awesome watching it from Main Street (we couldn't even see the castle but it was amazing and I liked it much better than the Matterhorn view (although Mount Wannahockaloogie on the Matterhorn was awesome)
