I Don't Want Peanuts

Hilton rewards their regular guests. My preferred reward is two bottles of water which usually comes with a snack thay I generally won't eat. Tonight the snack was peanuts. I don't want peanuts, peanuts are served on planes so chances are good that the people receiving peanuts just got done receiving peanuts on their flight.

I denied my peanuts on the flight (always do) and now I deny my peanuts in my hilton honors bag.

Special Disneyland Trip

Yesterday we had a special Disneyland trip to celebrate Liz's birthday. We all had fun and I am sure there will be a return trip in our future.

After Dinner, Pretend Dinner

After dinner the kids wanted to make a pretend dinner picnic on the front lawn. 

Sydney was the best little waitress offering several options for dinner and Brooke provided us with money (flowers) to pay for our meal. 

If you were driving to Sierra Madre Blvd tonight and saw two parents on a date, it was us.

Overnight Trip to Sacramento

Since my ankle injury shoes have truly been a problem. I have never been a shoe collector but since the injury I have had to invest in some flats. I recently took an overnight trip to Sacramento and during which I went shopping and bought two pairs of new flats and one pair of heels. This wouldn't be so remarkable but I already had 6 other pairs with me. (Yes, this was an overnight trip). So I had two pairs of heels that I was trying to wear (and couldn't) but I had two pairs of flats with me as backup-which I wore. I wore my Birkenstocks through the airport and I brought my tennis shoes in case I wanted to take an evening walk. When it was all said and done I had nine pairs of shoes to bring home with me. What a joke! It did make for some great pictures though.

When I see CDL (cinnamon dolce latte) on my cup I think of my grandfather every time! Nostalgic this morning drinking a CDL in the staff meeting. I miss you, Pop!!

We Love Having the Sauer Family Here!

We loved having them here and miss them soooo much! Their trip included Nathan, Brooke and my first time on Tower of Terror, Newport Beach and lots of hanging out.

Sitting in "Another Cafe" today in San Francisco I had someone walk up to me, hand me this receipt and say "I think this is yours", they proceeded to walk away. I opened it to find the following Jack in the Box receipt (which wasn't mine).

Cable Management Needed

We haven't done our cable management yet but I am watching my second favorite red head from my beach chair in the pool.

Off To Church

Sydney wanted to wear all black....I didn't think I had to deal with this for another 10 years. I guess I wore black and I turned ok. We compromised by taking off the black tank top and swapping for this one.

Brooke wanted to wear her new black shoes. They are too big, don't match her sundress and will be ruined within an hour. Oh well.

My makeup looks great today. I'm particularly liking my eye shadow. After being straight yesterday I went curly today. I'm up three pounds on the week, not happy about that. PS my shoes aren't showing because I still can't wear heels. Getting annoyed with that situation.
