Two Blog Follow-up's
(1) On Disneyland (3 Blog Stories) I left off a very important story....there should have been four stories. While we were on Dumbo the ride came to an emergency stop. We thought the ride had broken down but we were wrong. Apparantly, they stop the ride when riders are breaking the rules. In this case, a mother had their infant in a standing position and not sitting under the seatbelt like they should have been. I realized this when the attendent walked over to our Dumbo and said "She needs to be in the seatbelt, you can't stand her up" The great part is they started the ride up again and we basically got another full ride.
(2) On Stores Closing: This just in (via Eddie Bauer's email list)
To our valued customers:It has come to our attention that misleading information is circulating via email as part of a hoax intended to discourage consumers from buying gift cards from a number of retailers including Eddie Bauer. We want to set the record straight.
Eddie Bauer has been in business since 1920 and operates 376 retail stores throughout North America. We also have a robust online and catalog division. In our March 2008 annual report, we announced both the opening of new locations as well as the closing of some older locations as part of our normal course of business. The stores referenced were all closed in January 2008. In 2009, we will again open and close a handful of stores as part of our normal business plan.
Eddie Bauer remains committed to providing our customers with outstanding quality, value and service, now and for many years to come. Our gift cards are a great option for the holidays. You can purchase and redeem them at any of our retail stores, through our catalogs or at eddiebauer.com. We look forward to serving you this holiday season.

Outside My Office Window (Take 2)
The other day, Tim wrote a blog stating that the highlight of his work year is when the window washer comes to clean the window. RO! This was one of my very first blog topics back in October 2006.
Check out Tim's view outside his office window in the blog entitled Window Washing
then
Check out my blog entitled Outside My Office Window
I think it's interesting that Tim wishes he could be a window washer because it's so cool and the thought of it absolutely terrifies me. I guess that's the difference between boys and girls.
P.S. When I pulled up Tim's profile right now, I was the 222nd person to view it. Cool huh?

If I Had $1082.45
I'd buy David a lens, I would buy him a lens.
If I had $1082.45 (If I Had $1082.45)
I'd buy him a camera bag for his lens (Maybe a Lowepro or some other brand)
And if I had $1082.45
I'd buy your love..........
History:
I Am Turning Into Dave Thomas
If I Had a Million Dollars
Current Status:
David is now the proud owner of the EF 24-105mm, aka: The Sydney Lens. P.S. He thanks all of those that applied peer pressure.

Four Unique Blogs Worth Sharing
Bent Objects. Terry, from Indianapolis has a sense of humor like no other. He makes "art" out of bent wire and it couldn't be funnier! Go visit him but first here is a sample of what you will encounter:

This only thing missing from this piece entitled "rejection" is a bottle of ketchup....Don't miss the Pear when you go over for your visit.
Another great find is "The lowercase l": In The lowercase l, William brings to us signs where all letters are uppercase except the l. Absolutely Hilarious.
We also have "Apostrophe Abuse" brought to us by Chris. While this is really funny, I will be staying away from it because I < class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0">butcher apostrophes, especially, when I am on my blackberry. It seems that the comma always wants to be an apostrophe or viseversa.
To Queen B: The note you left on that car would not be considered passiveaggressive but Jane the note you saw at the car rental on your last trip to Albuquerque might fit in. Check out the Passive Aggressive Notes blog.
Last note: all three of these last blogs have a bunch of links on them that are good: Including the office sign project, and the "blog" of unnecessary quotations. I always use unnecessary quotations.....next I'll find one that says unnecessary periods....you know I am an offender of that! Bunch of grammar "Nazi's". (yes, that is inappropriate use) I hate them....but they do make some entertaining blogs.

New Blog: A Total Waste of Makeup
Here is a new one I am reading: http://totalwasteofmakeup.blogspot.com/
I had to do a trackback to this one since I was dying when reading her Craig's List review blogs. If you think you could be entertained by Craig's List personals then you must read her reviews. They are funny!
Her first Craig's List Blog was entitled "I thought I found true love but it was just Underwear"
Here latest Craig's List Blog is entitled "Best of Craig's List, Get Ur Freak On"
After reading this I invite you all to scroll down and participate in "Champ's Poll" which lists "Craig's List" as a very funny item!

Public Restroom Stalls
As you know, I have many photo collections on my blackberry pearl. What you may not know is that I have a collection of public restroom photos. Does that make me a freak? Maybe.
It's always a struggle for me to get my bags into small airport bathroom stalls. This morning I read a funny blog about this very subject so I thought I would share that blog with you (which has prompted this topic) Here's the blog: http://jammahs.blogspot.com/2007/05/road-warrior-gear.html#links
Some of my public restroom pictures with comments:
This is the roomy non-handicap restroom stalls that can be found at the Houston airport. I walked into this stall and was shocked to find them all almost as big as handicap stalls. No problem rolling in my luggage, no close calls with my pant leg hitting the toilet.
Everything is out of order at Sky Harbor. (PHX)
The Albuquerque airport reminds me of my old days working in the lab. Multiple sharp containers can be found in each of the restrooms.
This is a non-airport restroom but the great part of it is this is a picture from Pennsylvania. The town is called "Normalville", doesn't look too normal to me.
I simply couldn't post pictures of restrooms and leave this one out. Please note that I did not take this picture but every time I see it all I can think of is Ouch but I guess thats for further discussion later.

I Must Refer You To Queen B
I have a couple of comments about Queen B's blog tonight and I must refer you folks over there. The first one that had me on the floor (particularly humorous to me is her re-enactment of her non-Starbucks conversation) can be found here:
http://smbtamu01.blogspot.com/2007/05/sfo.html
The second one I love for several reasons but the top reason is of course the pictures of the paper towel dispensers. (If you are a new blog reader you should go back and read http://kim1champ.blogspot.com/2007/01/automatic-paper-towell-dispensers-in.html). Secondly, I absolutely love the photo of you in the bathroom!!!! I am totally impressed that you took it.
http://smbtamu01.blogspot.com/2007/05/not-happy-at-work-today.html
P.S. The answer to this question may require a little blog research. Who is the person responsible for this whole topic of paper towel dispensers? Hint: It's the man who is the #3 reason why I haven't run out of blogging material.

New Blog: Doomsday Clock
Tonight I bring you a blog that I did not write. This work of art was written by our favorite Christmas Tree Decorator and Padme impersonator, Queen B.
The following blog is entitled: "Doomsday Clock moved forward"
LONDON, England (AP) -- The world has nudged closer to a nuclear apocalypse and environmental disaster, a trans-Atlantic group of prominent scientists warned Wednesday, pushing the hand of its symbolic Doomsday Clock two minutes closer to midnight.
Queen B's thoughts...
(1) The most obvious first, of course. 2 minutes closer to midnight of WHAT DAY??? Wouldn't it be more important to pinpoint the day rather than the minute? I would much rather freak out for 1,440 minutes on Day X of Month Y of Year Z (assuming we made it all the way until the end of the day... it could be significantly fewer minutes than that if it were to occur at like 8:30am when I was about to start the daily ops call). Instead they would rather that I freak out every night at 11:52 pm wondering if the nuclear apocalypse AND environmental disaster were going to occur in the next minute.
(2) Who the heck let the scientist into the room to push the hand of the clock forward? Shouldn't we keep it more secure? Where is Homeland Security when you need them? Shouldn't the Doomsday Clock, which predicts nuclear apocalypse AND environmental disaster be their #1 priority? It sounds a lot more important to me than whether my 1 ounce liquids are in a Ziploc bag when I'm at the airport, which is their current #1 priority I believe.
(3) How does daylight savings time play into this? Especially with all of the changes to DST this year, I'm really concerned that we haven't thought this all the way through.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Please read more of Queen B's words of wisdom at http://smbtamu01.blogspot.com/
