Parking At The Office
David always mocks the person parked on the end spot at the office. "Why would anyone park there, they are going to get clipped!". Yesterday he commented how not only was the person parked there they were close to line. "How stupid could they be?"
Truth be told, it's my favorite spot. Today he was at Northridge and I subconsciously parked there. While walking out I noticed that I was actually on the line....nice. If my car gets hit he may kill me.

Little Red Riding Hood
At Kim and Matt's on Friday the following question came up "What did Little Red Riding Hood have in her basket?" Since. none of us were sure I took the question to google which offered up many different opinions.
*Wine and Cake
*Wine and butter
*Cookies
*Bread
*Apples
*Two loaves of bread and 20 grapes
Our little red riding hood ended up with cookies.
Pumpkin Carving Party On Hickory Lane
We had a great time at Alison and Brian's. After the pumpkin party we had great snacks and dinner before settling in for the show. Brian does an awesome job! We'll be back next year for sure!

Privateering Concert
Dinner at Morels at the Grove and then the Mark Knopfler concert at thee Wilturn. Seats were in the 3rd row and I have vowed not to chastise David again on buying the good seats-they were great!

You Only Need An Hour Or So
Brooke and I spent about an hour and a half today at Disneyland. It's so great to be so close.

5 Years Ago (Oct 18)
Thank you Timehop for helping me relive great moments! On Friday I was reminded that it had been 5 years since I met Andrea Braun. When I saw the Timehop pictures I immediately called her and we had an unusually long phone conversation. Miss her!
Andrea, as discussed we have spent time together every year (except 2011) since then. I'm planning 2013! Can't wait to visit and watch you coach lacrosse ;)

Knotts Scary Farm
James and I went to Knotts Scary Farm last night. James has been many times and I have wanted to go for years but this was my first trip to a Halloween Haunt. It wasn't as scary as I thought it was going to be but it was gross and mostly the mazes reminded me of a bad criminal minds episode. I screamed a few times and would go back.

"It Scared My Tummy"
This is one of my favorite things that Sydney says. "It scared my tummy" is how Sydney describes the feeling of losing your stomach on a roller coaster. While Brooke gets a thrill from having her tummy scared Sydney does not like it and flat out refuses to go on rides that could end up scaring her tummy.

I Need Liz
Sydney has maintained that she needs Liz to be at school with her (for morale support) For weeks before school started she would tell me that she wouldn't go to school if Liz wasn't going to be with her. I was relieved when Sydney and Liz ended up being in the same classroom.
Fast forward to last week and Liz was out sick. Sydney proclaimed "I did it!" When asking her what she did she responded that she had gone to school that day without Liz.
This morning on the way to school she said "Mom, Remember when Liz was sick and I did school all by myself that day?" I said yes and she responded "Well I did it because Miss Mellen is so nice and takes care of me. I don't need Liz to take care if me everyday but if I ever have a different teacher I will need Liz everyday again.
Miss Mellen is great! School has started out 100 times better than I had imagined.
After School
I picked Sydney up today and on the way to grandmas house she exclaimed "Mom I forgot to tell you! Today I have been to school 22 times!" I couldn't love this girl more.
