Eighth Annual Girls Beach Trip!

Our eighth annual beach trip included an evening at the beach, ice cream, truth or dare (I ended up in the hotel pool-thank you Sydney) , Camdyn taught Brooke to boogie board, staring contests and a full day at the beach.

Waverunning At Lake Elsinore

Our first time was only an hour but quite successful. Brooke declared she wants to go everyday. Once Sydney overcame fears that mom would go too fast (who me?) she had lots of fun and even asked me to go as fast as I could. (Wow)

Lesson learned: the girl need sunglasses next time. 

The Drought Impacts Sierra Madre Blvd

Ugh. I hope it's not ugly and I hope it doesn't screw up our parade seats. 

Kids Gym: I Really Hate The Slogan

The girls love the kids gym by our house but I really really hate their slogan. I just don't get it, there is nothing wrong with saying I'm sorry and when you have kids running crazy, chances are "I'm sorry" is going to need to be said at somepoint.

Updated Shark at Lego Land

The shark sure looked alot different than the last time we went to Legoland. I guess we look different too :)

Long Weekend Fun

We spent the day at Disneyland with Matt, Kim and lots of Frozen Fun at Disneyland. After Disneyland we drove to Del Mar for a weekend trip to San Diego. The funny thing is we never made it into San Diego but we did make it to Legoland the next day. Legoland was crowded but fun, Julia joined with her daughter and it was good to see her and the kids enjoyed having a friend,

2nd Annual Private Parade

We watched the floats head back to Pasadena and Irwindale. Disguised as our mission traditions after getting ice cream we headed over to find some Rose Parade floats. We found them and watched them from four different places before heading to Phoenix floats headquarters in Pasadena. There we had one worker tell us we could have 10 minutes to take flowers but that turned out to be not true and a major letdown but we did get to watch them park the floats in the giant warehouse and we managed to get a couple of flowers to take home. Highlight of the night was when a policeman gave each person a rose from the Bachelor float.

My Day & Instagram

I was going to post this selfie on Instagram earlier which was taken the moment before we went on the Sombrero ride (don't know the actual name) at Knotts Berry Farm. What I didn't realize is this ride is the Tea Cups on steroids. I do not like spinning and while I didn't vomit I felt pretty terrible for the next several hours. 

The second picture basically depicts the rest of my day. (Unrelated to the Sombrero) 

These two pictures are the reason I am considering leaving Instagram. (Also Mr Shehata who told me I should pick one) If I post the first everyone thinks I am happy go lucky even though I feel like the second. It's kind of false advertising. 

The AMAZING End User Services Race

My team leaders and I participated in the Fantastic Race LA and it was awesome! From a team building perspective it couldn't have been better, the shirts Thaddeus made were "Amazing" and we had many take aways that we can apply to everyday work. Our race took us to the Hollywood Bowl, Grauman's Chinese Theater, LA's Central Library, Angel's Flight, Grand Central Market, Walt Disney Concert Hall, Hollywood Walk of Fame and more! 

After the race we were all exhausted! Dinner and bed for an early start the next morning. 

An Evening In Paradise

Well, it was Paradise Cove in Malibu, and we were only there a few hours but the girls had fun and dinner was decent. 

First Dodger Game

Lots of food (Dodger Dogs, nachos, cotton candy, peanuts, Heater dogs and $12.50 in bottles water), lots of fun (the girls loved the wave), and a realization that I have been away from baseball too long.
