I'm All Out of Order

I need to do a real recap on Walt Disney World and celebrate my girls fourth birthday still but tonight I bring you my Premiere Disney Pass that works in Florida and California. This may be the only time I have this one :)

Disney's Hollywood Studios

Approaching Hollywood Studios you are immediately reminded of California Adventure (we obviously copied this). The entire park is like being transported home, Grauman's Chinese theater, Farmers Market, Echo Park and Sunset Blvd are prominent. 

In my hour long visit I went on two rides, The Rockin Rollercoaster featuring Aerosmith and the Great Movie ride which takes you back through movie history-both were great.

Breakfast of Champions

Last week I was one of six who received a leader award in IT at Dignity Health. As part of this award we were treated to breakfast at Dick's Hideway with Deanna and it was really cool! The recognition team did a great job putting the event together.

PS the food was big and super good. The only thing I ate all day.

The Magic Band Culture

The magic band is assigned to all people staying at the Walt Disney Resorts. It is minimally your room key, fast pass, park ticket, and credit card. If you book your reservation in advance you can choose your magic band color, if you don't choose you get the standard which is grey. This is great for someone like me who doesn't want to carry anything, wear the magic band and you don't need to take anything with you. (Ask me how irritated I was when after buying the most expensive pass Disney sells I learned that there were kinks with the premier pass so I still had to carry my card :/

What amused me though is that they sell accessories for the bands that range from $6.95 to $14.95. What a racket, I can't believe people purchase them but they have these accessories everywhere to it has to be popular. 

The magic band concept is great and it certainly makes money for Disney. You can charge anything without even thinking about it.

Walt Disney World

A word of warning, I havent posted in a week (what a week it was) and I have a rash of posts coming. I am also keenly aware that it is the end of the month. It's been busy, transioning some items at work, Brooke's birthday and our very first (and not last) trip to the Magic Kingdom. So bear with me as we begin the recap.

First off we thoroughly enjoyed Walt Disney World and the Magic Kingdom. I loved it! Mom loved it, the kids loved it and when they all left yesterday David texted me saying the weekend was great! Thanks to my dad for making it a whole lot cheaper with his Disney tickets :)

First T-Ball Practice Today

Indulge But Only A Little

I never devour the sweets. Jane is always amazed at my will power. I love ice cream and this Safeway Mint Moose Tracks is so freaking good. I bought this 1/2 gallon in December and I have eaten about one bite a day since. Yum, the end!

My Team Knows How To Make It Happen

Can't say how much I appreciate these folks stepping in to help solve a problem that wasn't theirs. And with very little notice on a holiday weekend. They came from near and far, on planes and in cars. I couldn't appreciate these folks more. (Not pictured, several people on the floors, at other hospitals or on the phone) Thanks to all!

Best Phone Accessory

Laura bought this for me two years ago. I loved it from the beginning but I only used it for fun. Today, I was so tired of holding my phone that I thought I would plug it in and give it a try. I love it! I'm going to use it all day tomorrow, they can mock me at Northridge.

I may order a couple of these to use as gifts...... PS. I do own a Bluetooth headset ......I'm just put of habit using it.

Father Daughter Bonding

As soon as Sydney's soccer game was over she ran over to Her daddy to look at the pictures he shot during the game. They were so cute together.

Our Special Person Of The Month

Sydney received the award today for Obedience! Miss Mellen picked her for doing what she is told with a happy spirit. We couldn't have been more proud of her and are encouraging her obedience at home :) #SMR

Practice Makes Perfect

Brooke's headaches/nausea have become more frequent and occurred three times this last week. We ended up today at the ER at Huntington Memorial, she checked out good (negative CT) and we are now attempting to get a referral to a pediatric neurologist. 

We practiced being a patient before the CT and I am pleased to report that she did great! Thanks to the BFF for telling me to prepare her.

Side Note: Huntington goes live on a Meditech to Cerner implementation on March 1st :)

I don't call her the Champ for nothing! A little over three years ago sitting at Hope and Anchor Laura and I suggested she run for office! I think we demanded it actually, Go Mayor Sanchez! I'm calling it early because you are the Champion!
