Lunch With James

We went to the new grilled cheese shop in Pasadena. (Shop-love that word). It was good, conversation was better.

Brooke's Boyfriend

I honestly didn't think I needed to worry about this or quite some time......PS her "boyfriend" is so similar to Coleman it's spooky. (Remember early on we said Sydney would marry Coleman)

Sydney, You Are Special Too!

Sydney was a bit distressed with all of the attention on Brooke the last couple of days. I heard the following a couple of times: "Everyone is hurting my feelings because I'm special too". I did my best to explain it to her but she really kept coming back to it. I love you, Sydney! I can't believe you are going to be 5 soon!

Trader Vic's With Becca and Jason

We went out last night with Becca and Jason. We went to Trader Vic's and it was the first time we have been out with Becca and Jason sans kids in at least seven years. (Wow) I think we need to do it more often.

Play Date at Micah's

Yesterday morning Sydney woke up and said "Mom, you know who we haven't seen in a long time? Micah!" That led to a quick call to Uncle Matt and an afternoon play date. Good time had by all.

Happy 65th Dad!

I know some of the 65 were better than others, I think thats the way life goes but I want you to know how glad I am that you are my dad. I have learned alot from you over the years and I have some great memories. Some of my favorites are sitting in the passenger seat of the motorhome talking to you, especially on our first night of a long vacation, singing goofy songs, I'll never forget when you filled up the Thunderbird with coins saying it was for the new owner-I thought you were nuts but the next day I found out I was the new owner-that was cool. I hope your 65th year is an awesome one-make the most of it!

Thanks for being my dad,

Congratulations Mrs Watson

I am so grateful for our friendship, whether we talk daily or every few months I always enjoy our conversations. The fact that we share the almighty 22 is a bonus. :)

The Wonder Watson Wedding Summary

Unfortunately, I had hardly any decent pics of the groom but the Wonder Watson Wedding was super fun! We all had a great time and I am so grateful that I was able to attend! Thank you to the Wilson's for there great hospitality, and thank you to James, Becca and Jason for watching our girls.

South Fork-The Highlights

Before the Wonder Watson Wedding we headed over to Southfork. I was glad we were able to fit an excursion in and this one was especially cool since I had decided there was no better time to download and catch up on the new Dallas then during my trip to um...Dallas.We had fun at Southfork and out of it Darrel gets his first blog appearance :)

Whiskey Cake

I have been to one restaurant in McKinney, Texas and I have been to it twice. In 2011, Sara and I went there for dinner and drinks. In 2013, Darrel and Amy took me there for breakfast. Two trips and they both were excellent. For breakfast I had chicken and waffles (first time ever) and I wasn't disappointed. Whiskey Cake is officially my favorite restaurant in McKinney :)

Where The Magic Happens (Casa Abba)

I was thrilled to finally get to Casa Abba. Other than her bedrom closet (which was double all of the closets in my house put together) the coolest room in the house was her upstairs quilting loft. There were so many wonderful designs and you could just see the creative juices flowing throughout. Super Cool!
