Hair Styling Tools
The bottle on the right is the bottle I use to spray water on Sydney's hair in the morning. Last week the following conversation took place in our house:
Kim: I can't find the spray bottle for Sydney's hair
David: Use the one on the counter (Kim's see the bottle on the left and picks it up)
Kim: This one?
David: Yeah, it works great
Sydney: (Screaming) No, Mom, No!

Spring Training 2011
David is spending some time in Arizona and shooting some Spring Training games. Yesterday it was the Dodgers (they lost-boo) and today it is the Cubs and the Brewers (Go Cubies)We miss him but hope he is having a great time!!!!!

More Cupcakes, Less Crap
The wife of one of the FSO managers had their spouse give me this awesome cupcake. When I thanked her she said "Name of FSO Manager, should give you more cupcakes and less crap". This will be my new line when people come to me, wait for it, you'll hear it: "Are you bringing me a cupcake or crap?"

Changed Outfit, Discarded Blouse
I hated the blouse I was wearing on Thursday and decided that I had to change before my flight home. Note before the change, after the change, and the blouse was discarded and left in Vegas.

A Nice Surprise After A Long Day
I arrived home tonight to find a package from an FSO team lead. In it a bottle of wine (one of his favorites) but more importantly a "thank you" card with a heartfelt message that simply couldn't have come at a better time. You know who you are and I am so grateful for you and tonight was so appreciative of the "thank you", don't know how much I really deserved it I but am very thankful for it.

Valentine's Day Candy Making
Sydney and I spent Saturday night making a couple of different types of Valentine's Day candy. There were failed listening attempts but all in all we had alot of fun. (And the candy was great!)

This girl has gotten so big in the last two weeks! Today she learned how to push the button and ride Sydney's battery powered ATV. She was able to climb on and off and ride around on it-so darn cute!

Brooke's First Crocs
Now that Brooke has transitioned to almost full time walking tonight we figured it was time to invest in her first pair of Crocs. Sydney picked the color and got herself a replacement pair too. We also added a "Minnie Mouse" to Brooke's and Sydney expanded her collection (Previously a Lady Bug and Woody) to include "Jessie".

Strange Looks At My Local Starbucks
Yesterday we were planning on going to Kids Space and due to car seat issues, Brooke and I drove out to get Elizabeth and left Sydney at home with David. I picked up Elizabeth and before heading home stopped with her and Brooke at Starbucks. It really was quite the social experiment as most of the Baristas (and some customers) know Sydney and Brooke so bringing in a different child around Sydney's age generated alot of confusing looks.
Some just looked as if something was wrong but were not sure of what it was, one stated they couldn't believe how much taller she had gotten (note Elizabeth is exactly one inch shorter than Sydney) and then finally Kimber emerged from behind the pastries and as she was about to greet "Sydney" she turned to me and said "Hey, thats not your kid". LOL-the experiment was done.
