Lean Cuisine Mac & Cheese

The other day I dressed up Lean Cuisine Mac & Cheese and made a great lunch out of it. Here's what I did:

1. Cook the Mac & Cheese in the Microwave per the box instructions.

2. Throw a handful of grape tomatoes into a pan with a little bit of water. Cook until the tomatoes are warm and have softened. (a couple of minutes)

3. Add some already cooked diced chicken

4. Use a small blender or chopper (I used the Magic Bullet) and chop up some croutons to use for a breadcrumb topping.

5. Mix the Mac & Cheese, Tomatoes and chicken together.

6. Top the Mac & Cheese with the crouton breadcrumb mixture, some chopped Italian parsley and add salt/pepper.

New Poll: Andrew or James?

I walked up to Andrew yesterday at the wedding and said "Next time, you shouldn't get so dressed up". This comment spawned a conversation over who was more dressed up, Andrew in jeans and a long sleeve shirt or James in khaki shorts and short sleeves. Both thought they were the most dressed up. Now it's time for you to decide. I think they both look pretty darn good!

Posted Placards Being Tampered With?

Well, less than two weeks after I first noticed the Southwest sticker logo covering the old posted placard I discovered that people are already tampering with the sticker...big shock.

I Will Not Have A Picky Eater

I swore that I would not have a picky eater, maybe that was mistake number one. This child (otherwise known as Sydney) is the worst eater of all times. She pretty much likes everything...at least at one time or another but she only eats what she wants at the time.

Today after eating hashbrowns for breakfast, a sucker on the way home from Disneyland and one Carl's Jr Chicken Star for lunch, at 5:30 she refused the following for dinner:

Grapes
Chicken
Mashed Potatoes
Dried Fruit Snacks
Lemon Cake
Macaroni and Cheese

At 8:00 she saw some grapes on the counter and decided that she was hungry. She ate about 15 grapes and was done. What do I do?

1938 Door Knobs

1938 door knobs are old, 71 years old to be exact. Sydney learned the hard way that 1938 door knobs don't allow for any outside access if they are locked. Tonight, she locked herself in our bedroom. David had just run to the store so I called him and he was home in a couple of minutes.

Unfortunately there was no way we were getting in from the door unless he broke it down. He was going to do that but she was standing right in front of it crying her little eyes out. So option two was the window, David got the ladder and ended up getting through the window (without breaking it).

But the poor little girl was so traumatized (as was her mom) that she just hung out on my lap for quite a while.

Maybe It Was The FSO Kudos Emails?

The technical support team for the House of Representatives communicated to the House members that they "may be slow or unresponsive because of the large volume of e-mail being sent to members". This was due to all of the email being generated because of Health Care reform. This got me thinking....I wonder if our email problems a few weeks ago were generated by all the Kudos I have been receiving about FSO?

Yeah, Yeah, it's a long shot but the team is doing so good and the comments keep coming in so I am just going to say, it's possible folks.... ;)

Announcements Blogger vs Facebook

Sydney's blog announcement received 40 blog posts. So should I feel bad that the latest announcement so far has only received 13 blog comments? Well, times have changed since 2007. Given my choice I would prefer blog comments (on blogger) to affirmation on Facebook or any other medium but I am not going to complain at all about the love and congratulations I received on Facebook today.

Bandaid Collection

I guess I have a new collection and it's not of pictures, it's of bandaids. I have been made fun of before because of my bandaids and I have no doubt that it won't be the last time. James brought me a gift tonight, Toast bandaids have now joined my bandaid collection.

Shopping Together In Different States

Just because we live in different states doesn't mean we can't go shopping together. This afternoon and via our Blackberry Pearls Jane and I went shopping for new glasses. I didn't need to be physically present, we didn't need to talk and Jane ended up with a great new pair of glasses. I love technology!
