When watching the news Friday night and looking at how cool the Shuttle Endeavor looked on the streets of Los Angeles I was thinking that I should have made an effort to go see it. I had an appointment on Saturday and David was going to be at the UCLA game so I figured Saturday was out as well. The Shuttle was due to be at Exposition Park at 8:30AM last night but it was significantly delayed and they ended up saying it would be there by 4:00AM. To make a long story a little bit shorter when we woke up this morning it was still almost 2 miles away from it's final destination so we decided to try and go see it.
I really didn't think we would get very close but we made it and it was awesome! It was crazy to see it just headed (VERY SLOWLY) down the street. The shuttle would have to stop so the tree trimmers could cut specific branches allowing the shuttle to get by and the police were emphasizing that they needed every inch in spaces so people in specific areas would have to move. The girls (especially Brooke) really liked seeing it and we were all glad that we made the effort. It was definitely one of the coolest things I have seen. Mom was there but is not pictured since I think all of the pictures with her in it were on her camera.
