Preparing For Santa
They alternated picking cookies for Santa, they took turns stirring the chocolate into the milk and then applied sprinkles on top of the whipped cream. Of course our Santa prep wouldn't be complete with carrots for Randy and his reindeer friends.
Christmas Eve 2012
Christmas Eve 2012 was low-key at the Thomas house as only Mom, Dad and us were there. Dinner was good and consisted of Prime Rib, corn, asparagus and loaded baked potatoes. After dinner mom and dad opened their gifts from us and Sydney and Brooke put on a show. (Another blog to come on this). We had our usual dessert, Baskin Robbins Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream Cake and then mom and dad went home. We ended our evening by having a family movie night with "The Polar Express" as the feature-the girls loved it.

Little Drummer Boy
Liz and Sydney sang the Little Drummer Boy today in church. They looked so cute and Sydney was super proud of herself and I was pretty proud of her too!
Impromptu Fun
Today we stopped by moms because Rachel was unable to get in touch with mom and was worried. I ran in only to discover Micah and Uncle Matt. The girls got out of the car and had fun playing with Micah, Matt and Grace. Super fun couple of hours!

Happy 39th To Me!
For the third year in a row I spent my birthday evening at the Americana in Glendale. The Americana at Christmas is so beautiful and the snow that falls in the evening is really really great! The kids loved it so much tonight! I was also pleased that Grace was able to join us this year. A fun time had by all and we finally rode the trolly (Brooke has been dying to do this for awhile)
Denver Visit #2
Mom, Becca, Brooke and I spent the last 36 hours or so in Denver. It was a great trip! Brooke and Nathan had so much fun together and it was great seeing Rachel and Kevin in their new place. The trip consisted of a visit to the mall (good sales were going at Eddie Bauer and Gymboree) a trip to the park (Brooke slept in the car), Chinese takeout for dinner (I thought it was pretty good), an open house with the neighbors, throwing snowballs, an almost-missed-flight home and lots of jumping on the trampoline (Nathan and Brooke). The best though was just having down time with Rachel, Becca and Mom-I am so luck to have such good sisters and the best mom!

Earlier This Week.....
The kids got pulled up on stage at Big Thunder Ranch and played bells during the Jingle Bells song. It was great! Andrew and Grace joined mom, dad, Sydney and Brooke for dinner and afterwards Brooke had her first trip to the Haunted Mansion-which she loved. (Sydney chickened out). After the haunted mansion we lucked out with the front row (on the Rivers of America) of Fantasmic which had just started. I hadn't seen it in years and the kids had never seen it-they both loved it! This was our final Disneyland trip for Christmas and we all had a good time.
