Anonymous Comment From 8/12/08

This morning I deleted an anonymous comment from my "The Store" post. I deleted it only because it referred to contract negotiations and other things that were directly related to work. Regardless, the comment just struck my funny bone so I am going to share it but I have edited out the work comments:

Why don't you ever talk about important things on your blog? I can't believe how shallow of a person you are. Life is way more important than this stupid store or the stupid restaurant across the street. Why is it you insist on blogging about stupid trivial things? I know your small mind is limited to only what is going on in your life at that very moment. Sad. You have the potential to be so much bigger than this!

Why not blog about why (OK, Here is the part I edited out that speaks derogatorily about our company) Talk about that instead of stores or coffee or your family! Let's see if your 5 - 10 loyal followers are able to keep up with something more important than blackberries!

OK-thats it. Usually I know who the anonymous person is but this time I don't have a clue so good job! So, I said the comment hit my funny bone: First funny thing: I'm shallow. Second funny thing: Nice to see that this person takes the time to read about stupid trivial things. Third funny thing: I'm glad they think I have potential Fourth funny thing: I love that they tell me not to talk about my family. Fifth funny thing: This person is obviously a loyal follower. Maybe they keep coming back because it's like an accident scene, you just have to look to see what happened or whats happening next. Thanks for reading!

hee hee. yeah, my fundamental question would be, "why do you keep reading a blog if you never find it to have important things?" some people should probably contribute more at work, instead of reading "shallow" blogs.

Also... I have examined your head quite thoroughly, KT, and I find you to have quite a large brain. Certainly it contains a mind expansive enough to not use the word "stupid" 3 times in the span of 2 sentences.

I just love anonymous comments. They're always so deep and thought-provoking... not!

Let us not forget to point out the underestimate of 5-10 loyal readers. Loyal readers say "Aye". AYE!!!

The loyal commenters are like the people at the accident scene that provide help and traffic control

personally, i like that we CAN talk about something other than work or politics. thanks, kim, for keeping things fun and light - it helps to put some perspective back in the day and relieve stress. so, from this "loyal reader": thank you.

Well, blogs can be as random or family-ly as you want.

1. I hate anonymous comments...if you've got something to say that you don't want to have to stand up to defend, then keep it to yourself.
2. If you can't say anything nice...
3. Often, its the funny little things that make the big things bearable.
4. I think its important to be able to talk about a wide variety topics. It's a good thing to be a well rounded person. Who wants to be so wound up on just one topic/aspect of life (like politics, religion, an ex, etc) that you become so obsessed & don't even realize the other 95% of life is in a holding pattern waiting for for you to get off your horse?

I think anonymous posters are:

a. moronic
b. veeg's (figure it out)
c. small minded, uneducated simpletons who have to hide behind being anonymous because they are so embarrassed of themselves, their lives and their peabody brains.

And I also feel that, as a loyal follower, I take great insult to this individual's comment. I dare them to comment on my blog in this manner. Triple dog dare.

I feel this individual needs to go blog about their own pathetic, remedial life...their neverending quest to find the secret key to Terabithia.

And, by the way, AYE.

I don't know what this "AYE" thing is about, but....AYE from me too!

Couldn't resist the anonymous button, sorry. heehee

Seriously, 'and what is the name of this blog?' I suppose we could have a fun discussion about Russia invading Georgia? Or gas prices are coming down but so is the stock market? Or the worst thing, they canceled Moonlight! kays

Kim, thank you for bringing us a daily dose of reality check. Work is what we do, not who we are. Your diversions make work just a little more palatable.

Aye!

Well I think I am a pretty hot topic to write about.

What takes more guts; writing about potentially "stupid" things under your own name, or anonymously complaining about things like a scared child?

Grow up, Anonymous. If you have anythng more to say, say it to me.
