SWA's "Want My Advice" (Take 2)

Last year, I wrote this blog about SWA's advice column. Basically, it discussed the common sense items that people write in about. I had to do a take 2 on this one because I couldn't believe this one in the August edition of "Spirit":

"When buying curtains, keep the zippered plastic bag they come in to store those extra things like toiletries when traveling. You can see the items easily through the clear bag"

OK....REALLY? How often do people buy curtains? She acts like this is a daily purchase! Just use a Zip lock bag lady! Is that really a traveling tip? And if it is, is it really the best one she has?

I would have to agree that keeping the plastic bag from my curtains to use for traveling is a little far reaching. Why would I want to tuck that away to keep? I have enough problem finding a place for all the other crap that I collect and keep thinking I may use it some time...I'm almost like my mother keeping margarine and cool-whip tubs forever...

Hmmm, I can't see myself doing this.

I just bought curtains for the new house in our great room! Six of them for decoration purposes but I feel that they did not come in zippered bags.I will have to check but what a waste just use zip lock bags you always know where they are!

LOL I think I am going to go out and recurtain my whole house JUST so that next time I travel, I will have the curtain bags to use for toiletries!

Even better are the bags you get with comforters.

But then you are not buying these that often either.

I have noticed these horrible tips too. I have been hoping to share some of my own useful travel tips, like:
1. Pack a bag, unless you don’t need one.
2. Make sure you have your identification.
3. Go to the right airport.
4. Always try to sit in the seat you are assigned, and if there not assigned seating, sit only in an empty seat.
I have more, but will save these gems for my blog sometime.
