Waterless Pedicure

Last month, I got my first waterless pedicure. It occurred in the Sacramento airport while I was waiting for my flight. It was a weird pedicure. They advertised it as a relaxing foot massage and pedicure and I found it anything but. First off, I was stressed I was running it too close to my flight time. Second, the pedicure was just weird and there was barely a foot massage. I felt like I was paying $45 bucks to have my feet wrapped in Saran Wrap. What a joke!

I did manage to take some pictures but KT gives the whole experience two thumbs down. Check out the photos and if you are in Sacramento, just pass on it. P.S. It was the most expensive pedicure I have ever had. Nice huh?

Have you seen the one where your feet are in a fish tank? The fishies eat your calluses.

I had a REAL pedicure today! I needed the water part! I paid for a manicure and pedicure for Caroline and myself for $63. That seems like a better deal than you got. AND I left relaxed!

I got a real one this morning too :)

that looks weird and is definitely over-priced. come to Texas, and I'll wrap your feet in Saran Wrap for free... I might even pay YOU to do it ;)

Wow, $45 for saran wrapped feet? That would drive me nuts. I need the water. The mere thought of the fish eating pedicure mortifies and disgusts me! Yuck!

I stumbled upon your blog, reading comments about the "waterless pedicure", I'm developing a waterless pedicure for my spa, it sounds like it was just plain poor job. Ours will be Saran Wrap free, it will have hot/moist towels, massage and feature a skin softening product like none other. I hope your experience won't dissuade you to trying it at a more "reputable" pedicurist. Stop by n see us if your in Alaska. :)

You will find lousy pedicures anywhere! And expensive ones too although at an airport I would expect to pay WAY TOO MUCH. I do waterless pedicures and they are to die for! General exfoliation, callous smoothing, mask, nail filing/shaping, massage and paraffin all done before polishing. A relaxing experience and take home great looking (& feeling) feet! Next time, ask about the proceedure and above all, ask about their sanitation proceedures.
