Big Aspirations or Child Labor?

I saw these toys last week at Toys R Us and they made me ponder the purpose of these toys. The way I see it there are only two possible options:

(1) The child has told their parent "When I get big I want to be a housekeeper?" or

(2) The parent has decided to get these "toys" in order to put their child to work. Child labor through trickery.

Sydney needs a Dyson! Everyone does!

Been there, done that. I totally wanted my oldest to start vacuum with one of those.

They don't suck up for CRAP! I had to teach her to use the real thing before she turned 4.

A child labors because of my labor.

I do not have a problem with forcing kids to do that.

I love Ruth Anne. She should so write a book on parenting :)

I'm all for having child labor. If I could borrow somebody else's kid I would definitely put them to work for a cookie. It would be much less creepy than "hiring" one of those people standing on the corner with the "will work for food" signs.... Come to think of it, I don't know if they even have those signs anymore it is more like "I'm homeless, please help, God Bless."

Yeah, my son got a yard blower with safety googles for his 4th bday -- it's noisy and annoying but doesn't work -- I am sooooooo retaliating with a 3000 piece beading set to their kid on the next holiday

I have to admit my son loves to use his Grandma's little hand held vacuum...very bizarre. -Tanya (Tim's wife)

Screw the mini's...Hadley uses the full size Dustbuster and enjoys scrubbing the floor and bathtub with a wet rag. I'm sure lucky to have such an enthusiastic 20 month old (it's probably just in her genes).

I am SO with you Queen! I am a fan of the dyson as long as my future child wants it...
