Tonight before I flew home I went to Oregano's for dinner. Oregano's is a casual Italian restaurant in Scottsdale and it is super super good. Dora's team always goes there, this is my 3rd time.
When dinner was complete they brought us dessert. Fortune Cookies. What part of Italian restaurant do they not get? (incidentally in my fortune cookie one of my lucky. Numbers was 22)
Next I went to the restroom and the bathroom names are in German! The pictures on the doors are also German.
They do not have a full bar but they do serve Margarita's and a Mai Tai like drink. Again, not Italian!
Bottom line Oregano's has great food and an identity crisis.

ummm...what kind of food do they serve at this "italian" restaurant? (based on the evidence, i would hate to make any assumptions!)

Maybe that is why I don't go there more often.
this is the problem with going to the one in Scottsdale ;) there is one in downtown Phoenix that is more normal.
The best Italian food I ever had was at an Italian restaurant in Germany. It closed down years later and became a strip club...isn't personality change a part of an identity crisis?

oregano's scottsdale -- a little something for every tourist! we have one in gilbert too -- I have only eaten their takeout so can't tell you how international it is. knowing gilbert, the answer is probably "not very."
i hear the sushi is awesome! =P
