Yesterday while at moms for Easter my elbow began hurting a little. By the time I went to bed I could barely straighten my arm and the pain was bad. Fast forward to morning and I couldn't straighten it and the pain had become excruciating. So much so that I called my dad and asked him to watch both kids while I went to the orthopedic doctor.
After x rays and tests it was determined that I have tennis elbow, likely cause is holding Brooke while she was sick. The doctor described the tennis elbow as severe and said that there were significant amounts of tears throughout my elbow tendon. He gave me a cortisone shot into my elbow and I likely have to return next week four another.
A torn tendon sounds serious, tennis elbow sounds dumb so I hereby announce that I have tears in my tendon.

Tennis elbow is funnier to tell people, especially because you dont play.
My mom claims to have tennis elbow.... and she did actually play lots of tennis... 30 years ago.
I vote you have torn tendons
I agree tennis elbow does sound dumb.
I question which child caused it...I'm guessing (though I haven't seen her) that Brooke weighs significantly less than Sydney. And dare I ask what your double stroller weighs? And how much heavier is the Droid than the Pearl? Perhaps it's some freakish combination of all these things?
Do mothers of twins have two tennis elbows?
Not yet Jane, but I either slept on my shoulder wrong, or have sympathy tennis shoulder. ;)
