Florida Trip Recap: Day 1 WDW

After leaving Tampa we headed to Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort where we checked into our Pirate Room. Our Pirate Room was located in Trinidad South and I had been worried that it was way too far from the main guest area but it turned out it was just fine. The girls loved the room and I would recommend it especially if your kids loved pirates.

After check in and a quick dinner we headed over to the Wilderness Lodge. While we knew it was based on Old Faithful Inn we were impressed by the similarities. After looking at the inside we headed outside and the girls played in the sand on the beach. They had a great time digging in the sand. We watched the smaller version of Old Faithful and then checked out the pool area before heading to Artist Point for dessert.

Of all the hotels we would take a look at we all liked Wilderness Lodge the most.

Florida Trip Recap: Day 1 Clearwater Marine Aquarium

We headed to the Clearwater Aquarium to see "Hope and Winter" from the Dolphin Tail movies and were shocked to find the longest wait ever just to get in-the employee said that it would be at least an hour to get to the front of the line. We noticed there was a will call line so I bought tickets online and then hopped in that line which took about 15 minutes. Once in we found it was packed and from the pool area could barely see Hope and Winter. After grabbing something to eat we saw Winter from a viewing station down below. There were two areas of the Aquarium and because of the crowd we only went to the main one. The kids had a good time and Sydney enjoyed this special day on her birthday.

Brooke's Messages To Mom

Brooke likes to use my phone to send messages to me. They are usually emoticons and then she explains what it means. Today I wrote down what she said verbatim as she walked through her important message to mom:

Mom this is for Ballet and for you watching me do ballet, this is for sisters, this is for family, mom and dad, this is for queen, (note crown to keep you on track) dressing up, go swimming together, if you get wet bring an umbrella, if you want lipstick we can put it on, three loves, lots of love, more love, kisses, more kisses, remind Micah of dragons, go to the zoo together and find all the animals, find more animals and dogs, flowers for love, moon and sun for God, shooting stars and build a snowman together, find rainbows, go on a ride in Ravey sometime!, if we have an emergency call the fireman and the police and go on a boat together and go on a pirate ship together and another boat, go on three planes together to see Aunt Rachel, and if we get hurt go to the hospital, and if we lose our house we can take a picture of it and love, and find rainbows with all our family and pick flowers if you like them for the Rose Parade and get bows for our hair, and get new hats and I hope mom has a good work (If you are lost this is the red high heels), and I hope dad has a good work too and I hope we can go to the zoo sometime-wait, I am too tired I think we need to stop but (she skips down to the bottom) I hope we can make happy faces and silly faces and smile sometime and take a picture of us smiling.

I love this kid........

The Angry Filet of Fish

Never mind the question, look at the filet of fish. I can't help but think it looks angry. That tarter sauce looks like angry eyes and that cheese fangs. I know, I need professional help.

Northridge Phones

Row 1

First time I have flown to Burbank in years that I haven't sat in the back row. I have officially converted to the front row and love it. I can't get it everytime but when I do I am the first off the plane which means I can join conference calls on time :) and get home faster. The best!

Sydney's Mini-Me

I can't believe how much Brooke looks like Sydney in this picture. Very rarely do I see a resemblance but this one is striking.

My Carry-On

On the left we have the bag I brought with me from Southern California today. It contained everything I needed to travel to a different state today. On the middle and right we have the bags Suzanne and Lenore brought to the office, it holds most of what they needed to make the drive in from home.

Celebrating Marriage (04/18/15-Part Two)

Congratulations to Tina and Larry! I was so happy to see them tie the knot today-they both looked very happy to take this official step in their relationship. I wish you both the very best in the coming days, months and years. Congratulations-we love you!

Celebrating Marriage (04/18/15-Part One)

I enjoyed spending some time this morning celebrating Laura and Tyler's upcoming wedding. We are so excited for them and the girls were really excited that I snuck two (instead of one) cookies out so they each got one.

The Right of Passage

It's every kid that has grown up close to Disneyland's right of passage: going on a ride by yourself. You need to be seven to do this and last night was Sydney's first trip since being seven. Usually, it's Dumbo but while waiting in line for Haunted Mansion Sydney said she wanted to go alone. So she rode by herself and then again when we made it over to Dumbo. Way to go, big girl!!!

The best "From the Air" to date! Directly over Walt Disney World and the Magic Kingdom. The Contemporary, Grand Floridian, Poloynesian Village and Seven Seas lagoon can be easily be seen as well as Main Street USA, Space Mountain, Castle and Spash Mountain.

Yes, I Live In Fantasyland

A few weeks ago my leader told me that I live in Fantasyland. He was reffering to Disneyland (I think-lol) but since then I have repeated it several times. I love Disneyland and when I walk in there on a Friday night I generally leave all the day to day stuff behind. Tonight we walked in around 5:30 and I took a picture of the sign that you always pass when entering.......I do live in Fantasyland and I absolutely love it!
