New Orleans Burger King

Yesterday, when we driving the short 2.4 miles (according to mapquest) from our hotel to the restaurant, Ralph's on the Park we had the pleasure of passing several old New Orleans cemeteries.

A quick side note on our cab drivers to and from: (1) On the way, the driver could not speak any English. (2) On the way back, our driver looked like Grizzly Adams or (as the hotel bellman stated) Charles Manson. This guy was a major freak and openly discussed the fact that California people were the worst and that he would like to shoot at people. We exited the cab pretty quickly.

Well, back to the cemeteries. between 3 of these huge old cemeteries was a very out of place Burger King fast food restaurant. John Smith pointed out that this had to be the worst demographics of any fast food restaurant in history. This burger king was surrounded by 50,000 dead people! Pondering this later I wondered if it the cemeteries were actually built around the Burger King. Just think about it, A triple whopper with cheese has 1230 calories and 92 grams of fat.....hmm.

P.S. Mapquest Sucks, the hotel was like a hundred miles from the restaurant.

The DQ in my home town is between two cemeteries and a small church. I never thought this was wierd because this is where we always go after services.

I will think of you next time I eat those potatoes.

DQ has potatoes? I am so confused. I think I need to do a quality control inspection... I'm pretty sure our only potatoes are served fried and with salt and grease on them. hmmm.... are you sure you're not talking about the new potato blizzards?

PS: if you're trying to find my apartment with mapquest, it will take you to a house about .25 miles west of me.

Actually, I did remember something about this taxi ride.

All of the other Perot people walked right past the first cab to the second and third ones. When we walked out, they said, "that's your cab right there." They left ol' Grizzly Adams/Chucky Manson for Kim/Laura and their respective spouses. That should tell you ladies something right there!

I have a love-hate relationship with digital memory because of how prices are always falling. I absolutely hate buying SDs for my R4 / R4i at (what seems to be) a cheap price only to see it become a whole lot more cheaper a couple of weeks later.

(Posted by OperaMod for R4i Nintendo DS.)
