When I was looking for a good piece of clipart to Celebrate July 4th and our Country's Independence I ran across this one to the left. Really....Really......how could someone screw this up?????? July 14th? Come on people. I decided to keep on searching...... (July 4th 3:30PM Update-I crossed out the photo of the French Flag)
Soon I found this one to the right:
__________.jpg)
OK and now I am really sorry but why would someone carve a pumpkin that says July 4th? This image is linked to a site that teaches you how to carve July 4th Pumpkins.....WHAT?!?!??!!?
What was going to be a serious blog about the 4th of July and what it means to this Republican has been reduced to these pictures. Hmm....I wonder what pictures I can find if I search Google Images for Labor Day?

Here is some insight for you. July 14 is a national holiday in France known as Bastille Day. It symbolizes a new goverment for them. (I couldn't just think that Americans would be so stupid.)
Love the pics, they remind me of another website-LOL
Have a great Fourth!!!
Ruth: You always have the answers! You are the best! I guess now we just need to teach Google to not display July 14th for July 4th.
P.S. Having a major problem...do I leave this up? How can I let a French flag wave on Independence Day?
I am sitting in the his and her office laughing hysterically at this blog post.
John says, "Whats so funny?"
Jane says, "Did you read it"
John says, "Uh, yeah"
Maybe you are right, I am the only person on this planet to think this is funny. The best!
Kim, I think this post is a riot! And my opinion is: the french flag must go. See, I didn't even capitalize the word!
LOL I am cracking up! A July 4th Jack-O-Lantern? What the heck? I see no relevance in the baby and mother picture either. And I agee with the group, france flag must go down. Great post Kim!
Um...the relevance in the baby mother picture is that on Independence Day (July 4th) she celebrates her right to EAT the baby! ...Get in my belly!!
LMAO, this was hilarious.
Yeah, french flag has gotta go. I actually purposely left the "french" off my fries post yesterday :)
I love Independence Day in any country. Thank you for celebrating on your blog. I can always count on you to recognize the important things.
I just made an update. I did not delete the French flag but I did cross it out. Hopefully that will do.......hate the French.
I love the update! It's better than just deleting it :)
Wow, sorry.
I honestly wonder why people dislike the French. That's like saying you hate pencils because they are yellow. Americans just have no sense of culture. They all live in their little bubbles and keep their minds closed to greater things. On another note, without the French, we might still belong to England. Maybe you should do some research before you go writing about the 4th of July, because obviously you do not know that they played an important part in us winning our independance.
