Kim to Reno: Christmas Is Over!

Back in Reno.....the Reno airport needs a new decorations coordinator. I may apply for the job. It seems that Reno is perpetually celebrating Christmas. While for the summer, they have taken the bright lights off the tree they are still looking way too much like Christmas.

Each time I come here and get off the plane I see these Christmas Trees and think "Christmas is over", the same way I feel when I see houses with Christmas lights still hanging during the summer. I guess if you make it to August there is no point taking the decoractions down.

Still, tomorrow, when once again I leave this very interesting town I plan on sitting for 10 minutes in the chairs in front of the Christmas trees and writing my "What I want for Christmas 2007" list.

Kim,
I will be expecting that list this weekend at Starbucks. You know I have to get my shopping started early. Only 106 gifts left to buy.(that's including stocking gifts)

That is absolutely hilarious! I agree with you, once they have made it to August, they just need to leave the decorations up!

I love Christmas! Michael's already has their Christmas stuff in store, in addition to their fall/Halloween decor. Staples is selling holiday cards. Christmas trees in the airport is a little much though.

It's so funny you wrote about this because my son has started talking about Santa coming already. I keep telling him that Christmas is still months away! I won't dare take him to Reno any time soon! Thanks for the warning.

Love it! Vicki starts talking about what she wants for Christmas right after her birthday...in March!! LOL!

Going to Reno and seeing Christmas trees year round is almost as good as going to Crackers in June in the middle of their Christmas food drive
