Dumbest Baby Products (#1)

I anticipate that there may be multiple posts on this topic so I have entitled this with a #1.

Last month when Jane and I went shopping for PG clothes we saw the Baby Plus Learning System. This little belt is designed to be worn by the mother and when it is turned on it sends signals (via sounds) to the baby. Jane and I flipped it on and it made this loud swooshing sound that was absolutely horrible. We both laughed out loud and the sales clerk was really annoyed and began vehemently defending the product.

Today, while shopping for baby furniture with Kays we ran onto the special Nursery Purified Water. For $1.60 a gallon you can buy this special nursery water. RO! They had a whole rack of it at the Babies R Us.

I can't believe you haven't seen that water before. It actually scares me. There have been times when I have been looking for bottled water, and the store is completely out of every kind except the nursery water. I always have this mental conflict on whether it would be safe for me to drink. I've never bought it :)

On a totally different note, I discovered where my local Wal-mart hides their baby food today. I had to get some Pedialyte for Doogie. That was really fun.

1) Nursery WATER?! Wow you really can sell anything! I'd drink tap water over nursery water if given the limited selection.

2) LOVE that QB bought Pedialyte for Doogie!!!

Have I been depriving Oskar?! Then again I think he's thrown up maybe twice?

OMG! We survived on tap water and annoyuing siblings. What has the world come to?

That nursery water is a total waste of money! It amazes me what people will spend their dough on!

I also think Nursery Water is bogus! I breastfed so I didn't need it but I do remember seeing it and thinking, if I drink tap water, isn't my baby????? So, should I have been drinking the nursery water while breastfeeding?
