Another Food First For KT
Today, I tried hard boiled eggs for the first time. Yes, I have never had hard boiled eggs. I have avoided Egg Salad, hard boiled eggs in Chef salads, Potato salad with hard boiled eggs, Egg McMuffins and of course Deviled eggs. Well, today, when James saw the Deviled egg appetizer at La Grande Orange in Pasadena he couldn't help but order it. (The La Grande visit will be memorialized in another blog soon) When James and Mom heard I had never tried a Deviled egg, let alone a hard boiled egg, I decided that it was now time to branch out and actually try one.

I must admit Kim, some of your firsts are just shocking to me. Many of your firsts are just unbelievable. How have you avoided these things for so long? That's why I love ya, there is always something new to learn about you!
I will not eat hard boiled eggs, Sam I am ... I have tried them, didn't like them and am not going back. Same for fried eggs and the other egginess you name. This is another "non-Griffitts" family feature with me, everyone else likes deviled eggs, radishes, iced tea, and potato salad. I am the maverick Griffitts clan member. It feels good to be different. Different is good!

I understand avoiding foods because you don't like them, but to never ever have eaten something as standard as a hard boiled egg in your whole entire life? Sheesh! Congratulations on your egg-venture!
A friend gave me a great recipe for deviled eggs.. and very easy too! I'll pass it on.
Tho I do like hard boiled eggs, I didn't like deviled eggs--until I tried this recipe. BTW, I'm with Andria on this one.
hard boiled eggs are much more doable as deviled eggs. My in-laws love to make deviled eggs for me, and I embarrassingly eat a lot!
Oh my, this is amazing! Deviled eggs are my favorite.
