Yesterday, someone commented on the fact that I have several email addresses and "How many do I really need?" I wonder how many email addresses does the average person have? Let's go through mine for a second:
I have my work email:
Kim-@chw.edu
Kim.Thomas-@chw.edu
Kthomas-@chw.edu
While there are three work addresses they all go to the same place so I am going to count those as one. I also have my other work address: Kimberly.Thomas-@ps.net
Then I have my original email address that I have never wanted to cancel. (Note: If I check this once a year that is alot)
Kim1Champ-@aol.com
Of course I own the domain, Kim1Champ.com. I have two email addresses there but I never use them. Actually, you could send ANYTHING@kim1champ.com and it would drop into my kim1champ mailbox but again, I never read it.
Then I have my old junkmail account:
KimThomas88-@hotmail.com.
Also my old yahoo account,
Kim1Champ-@yahoo.com.
Next I have my two main-non work addresses:
Kim.Thomas-@gmail.com
TheChamp-@gmail.com
Kim.Thomas-@gmail is used whenever I have to sign up for things and/or buy something and of course I use it for blogging. TheChamp-@gmail.com is my main personal email. If you have stupid jokes and feel compelled to send them to me, send them there.
I also have another gmail account but it is a secret ;)
Gmail is far superior to all of the other accounts. It's easy to organize and includes email threading.
So in total I have 11 email addresses consisting of 9 email accounts, 4 of which are active. How many email addresses do you have?

My recollection is coming up with 8 email addresses... 5 work variations and 3 personal ones. So you are slightly above average, if you're using these comments as a yardstick for average ;)

haha so what i made it like 4 years ago and i have to say that i will never have more than 5 email addresses that i keep haha...everyone it was lilsockherboy@gmail.com lol...now its the junk mail and my current one is james.evans5@gmail.com....lol

I have 2 at work that count as one like Kim does. I have 1 gmail account. And I have 1 @myself account. Oh yeah I also have a old one at NetZero. So I only have 4, so I guess that makes me lower than average. Wish my weight was lower than average.
Well, lets see. I have:
1 Hotmail, 1 Yahoo, 4 off my own domain, 2 gmail, and 2 at work (1 ps.net and 1 chw.edu).
So I guess that makes me average.

I miss all my CHW and PS.NET addresses...
I have six that I actually use plus all the freaking aliases. I have had to move to three junk addresses though.
My fav junk address is HaHaIFooledYou@hotmail.com - Not really all that clever, how sad...
I have 17.... 3 work... 3 business ones...and 10 that I check from time to time 1 privat one.
