Back in February, I wrote about my trip to the "Slow Queen" in East Mesa, Arizona. Recently I found out that the Slow Queen caught on fire and the inside was completely gutted. This happened at the end of April (over 2 months ago) and as of now there have been no attempts to repair or reopen the building. A couple of thoughts: (1) This location cannot be profitable because their service was so slow, It is no surprise it hasn't reopened (2) I wonder how long it took the slow queen workers to realize that the place was on fire. If they were as slow to react to the fire as they were to our order they probably didn't make it out in time. (3) This small chain link fence protects the building. Normally, after a fire they board up the windows and doors etc but in this case you can actually see jagged glass on all the doors and frames. Looked super dangerous to me.
The entire story of this Dairy (Slow) Queen is just plain terrible.

No more responses to new posts until you cough up the Starbucks cards...
I had no clue. I have real sadness.
Ruth, Luckily there is another Dairy Queen close by.....if you can't make it there I know where you can get good snow cones :)
Mmmmm... Ice Cream!! I'd like to know where to get good snow cones. Do share.
I cannot believe that no one notified me that one of my business had caught fire and was currently not operating. As they don't ever generate a profit, I had not even noticed the blip in productivity of my massive empire!
I love licking big... ice cream cones... they are yummy for my little tummy!
