IT Freaks and the RIM Outage

When I spoke with David earlier today he immediately started in with his standard "IT Freaks" comment because his Blackberry wasn't working. Of course, he blamed the IT people. People always blame us. I turned to him and said "It's not your IT people, RIM for all of North America is down". He proceeded to tell me that his backup (Outlook Web) had been broken for awhile an the "IT Freaks" hadn't fixed that yet either.....

what? didn't this happen like a year ago? how did they not do a proper RCA and eliminate it from happening again? This is making me unsure of my impending Pearl purchase!

You are both IT Freaks, but it's part of your charm. It's ok, I sell office supplies, who's the bigger freak?:)

I have to admit when I heard this on the news I immediately thought of you. How on earth did you manage to get thru' the day without your constant use of your blackberry? Ya know, I can see you now, during your delivery on the damn thing-LOL

Kim, I thought of you when I heard this last night. Somehow, I don't think you'll be texting or blogging while in labor.

I am all for KT texting while in labor! That would be the best ever!!!

RIM should outsource support to Perot, then they would never have to worry about outages.

It was quite distressing, especially since the IT Freaks at my company couldn't get our Outlook Exchange running. They were too busy blogging, probably.
