More Driving Restrictions.....

In 1994, California banned riding in the back of trucks (I loved doing this in my dads pickup)
Late last year, Phoenix banned texting while driving
In September 2007, California banned cell phone usage by all teens while driving
In June 2008, California will ban talking on your cell phone while driving (without a headset)

But.....Mexico just made some bans of their own, including:

Makeup application while driving (including lipstick)
Carrying pets while at the wheel
Shaving while driving

BTW: The fines for these incidents would be $32.00 in dollars or 346 pesos.

I'm with Jane...does it mean that I shouldn't have blogged while driving today? Or sent and received a minimum of 30 texts while driving home from class tonight also while eating?

I also apply makeup while driving to work every morning. Oskar also insists on perching on my shoulder while I drive.

What's my total ticket?

I can honestly say I've never shaved while driving...I have changed my clothes several times though.

I do have bluetooth on the rare occasions I actually talk on the phone :)

Sorry I think this comment was as long as the post.

I got you Jenn, I have shaved once while on my way to lifeguarding I missed spots now and then so had a razor always handy. Thank goodness we are not teens!

Kim thanks for welcoming me to blogging too :-)

OK, Kim. Once again, you've stumped me. I guess I'm not 'typical' as I have never applied makeup while driving, unless chapstick counts, which I don't think it does.

Riding in the back of a truck: Used to love riding in the back of my Dad's truck as a kid. Isn't it funny, though, how we must wear seatbelts at all times in AZ, but riding in the bed of a pickup is ok?

I will have to get a headset before June...I don't really like them but I will have to do it! Never one for make up or shaving while driving. However, the carrying pets at the wheel is an issue...glad I don't live in Mexico and have to follow that rule!

guilty of the makeup on occasion--but I did it at stop lights. Does that still count? After seeing someone text and drive on the FBI simulator, I'm all for that law. Sorry!

I pay attention when I am driving and use the 10 oklock and 2 oclock position.

I don't apply make-up but I do talk on the phone. What about kids screaming for something to drink in the backseat. I hope the ban that pretty soon.
