10 miles from Birmingham I got pulled over for speeding on the I-20. Here was the conversation:
Officer: Can I have your license and registration
Kim: Yes, here it is
Officer: I pulled you over because you were going 78 mph in a 60 mph zone
Kim: Yes, I just saw that but I thought the speed limit was 70
Officer: OK but you were still going 78
Kim: I was going too fast
And no, I didn't get off with a warning.

Didn't you see "My Cousin Vinny"? You are lucky you only got a ticket! So sorry. :(
In alabama, only 18 yr olds who are so scared to be pulled over for the first time that they actually forget how old they are and tell the cop she is 17 get off with a warning. Not that I know this from experience or anything. ;-)

You've had a couple encounters with members of law enforcement in 2009...I hope the rest of your year is ticket free! Still no tickets for TWD though!
