Copper Pots

Does anybody out there have any copper pots? I am amazed by the fact that people buy these. What makes them so great, except that they are made of copper?

I saw the pot below at Tuesday Morning's the other day, it was literally the size of my shoe and it was onsale-yes onsale, for $149.00. It was so small that I can't imagine what could be cooked in it. Maybe a fried egg, like the ones that go in the Egg McMuffin's at McDonalds would fit in it. The regular price was over $200.00. I don't get it, does anybody?

Copper conducts the heat better. Most good pots have copper bottoms. I think pots that are completely copper are a waste of money. But copper does conduct the heat better.

I have copper-bottomed pots, but no copper pots.

my mom has a set of copper-bottom pans that she's had as long as I can remember....I loved the 10-inch skillet. I wonder if she's still got it?

Did you consult Andrea Braun before posting this?

A lot of my pots are that size just because I don't have any. We are still using my husband's bachelor pots!

Anyway, don't know much about copper pots. Supposed to be nice. I guess it bleeds the minerals into what you cook. Whatev.

You are shopping the wrong places... I saw this exact pot today at an antique store for $8. Should have gotten it for you! (or me!)

These are for the same people that drop $100k on a pick up truck.
