The Binder Assembler

Today, I logged into Facebook and observed the queen's current status. Her status said: Queen B is working on binder assembly. I initially went to leave her a Facebook wall message but then thought that my comments were blog worthy not just wall worthy.

It is important to note the following supporting facts:
*For the 5 people that don't know, Queen B and I work for the same company.
*Queen B is an American
*Queen B is on assignment this week in Mexico

So let's go back to her status. She is assembling binders. We are now spending money to send Americans to Mexico to assemble binders. What?!?!?! I wonder what she will be doing next?

Three Questions for the Queen:
(1) What else are you working on?
(2) Why didn't you assemble the binders in Texas and ship them?
(3) Did you buy the binders in Mexico?
(3a) And if so did you negotiate the price?
(3b) Or at least barter for them?

Can't you just see Queen B at the Guadalajara Staples buying binders: Yo soy la Reina y tengo que comprar algunos aglutinantes. (I am the Queen and I need to buy some binders)

RO, Kim! I am seriously dying here, as I wait for the husband to call me back since my phone stopped working again.

To answer the pressing questions:
(1) binder assembly is in prep for a huge client meeting that is tomorrow. I did the presentation for the meeting and then coordinated getting it bound.
(2) I had no idea what I would be doing in Mexico and had no idea of our service offerings before I arrived
(3) the binders were purchased in Mexico, though I did not have to go get them. They were purchased by one of the team leads here in correlation with a Starbucks run. Don't tell JA but they were purchased at Office Max.

La Reina is forgiven...Staples doesn't have stores in Mexico. However you can find Easy buttons in Spanish in select areas of the US. I'll have to send you one to take with you to Mexico next time.

KT, this post was definitely worth the wait!

While I suppose that binder assembly is a step up from professional instant and BlackBerry messenger (and let's not forget blogger), I still argue that she's working in sweat shop conditions!

Having been a recipient of one of the Queen's Binders, I have to state that she is a professional at it.

The one presented to me (signed and certified) has been of unimaginable assistance and I'm even getting to the point where I actually reference it before I text her and ask stupid questions. After the first couple of times of me doing that she always came back with "that is in the binder."

I've even had people ask for copies of the binder and the binder material as it is more of a bible for the job!!

Come back Queen!! You only have 19 days until you are here to visit, which means everyone else will see you sooner....Have you told Mr. Mean that you are unavailable in the near future?

Is this called insourcing?

LMAO!!! And if she bought them in TX, weren't the binders originally made in Mexico and sent to TX and then she'd be shipping them back to Mexico??? WTF?!?!
