If you aren't in Healthcare or IT this post won't interest you.
I ran onto this blog a couple of days of ago and wanted to share it. http://www.healthcareguy.com.
So far, I have particularly liked this post: http://www.healthcareguy.com/index.php/archives/316 regarding getting the business to understand IT. It offers some good suggestions on how IT can help educate the business partners. Most of the article is about how the business just doesn't get IT but I focused in on a comment at the end that in my opinion wasn't emphasized enough: "The Geeks have the responsibility to make sure the business is armed with IT knowledge" This is absolutely critical to all of our success and something we should take very seriously.
When I worked at San Gabe we used to have IT brown bags and IT "Open Houses" that were fun, educational and helped us foster the relationships with the users, our customers. This article reminded me that those activities are useful and we should do more to engage our customers and get them excited about IT.

Agreed, although we have a lot of people that are resistant to change. New technology is here. People are creatures of habit, they are used to doing the same thing, the same way day in and day out. As we introduce more efficient ways of getting their jobs done, they think that their job is in jeopardy. Coin the phrase – Do you hear that? That is the winds of change.
I hear the wind blowing hard!
