A few minutes later, Darlene, her kids and parents arrived. We were happy to see them and persuaded them to come on into the batting cage. There ended up being three strollers, five adults, seven kids and two soccer balls in the batting cage.
Joshua played soccer with another kid, the adults took turns holding Sydney and Elizabeth, I was chastised for not having a warm enough blanket and everybody that walked by laughed. I dubbed the batting cage, the giant playpen.

Reminds me of the TV show rugrats.
HYSTERICAL! And good thinking!
I'm making a mental note to be sure to always have a warm blanket on hand so I am not chastised when I'm a mother. My mother-in-law always chastises me for wearing flip flops when it's too cold to be doing so. I just hate shoes!
This gets funnier ever time I look at it!
RO!
Wow... most parents start locking up the kid in cages at a much later age Champ... I told you motherhood wasn't going to be easy... but noooooo you just ignored me and kept chatting on your blackberry!!
"There ended up being three strollers, five adults, seven kids and two soccer balls in the batting cage."
Kind of defeats the purpose of 'safer game-viewing' doesn't it?
This is probably one of the funniest, best things I have ever seen! RO!
That is a fabulous idea! People will chastise anything. Auntie Em has a thing about socks on a baby...doesn't matter if it's 99 degrees and 99% humidity, Thou shalt put socks on thy baby. She taught me a great phrase to recite "Thank you for your thoughts. I'll remember that when I make MY decision about ..yadda,yadda"
That picture is priceless. You've had some very funny material lately. LOL.
i just had to call the Help Desk for an incident ticket: "EU states monitor has been "spontaneously sprayed" with Starbucks...again."
:)
BRILLIANT!
