- Each Season represents 24 hours, there are 24 episodes representing the 24 hours in the day
- Jack Bauer is the star and he is an agent with the Los Angeles Counter Terrorist Unit
- The show is made up of approximately 75% action, 20% drama, 5% comedy. (Comedy starts in Season 3)
- Each Season is also referred to as the Day (Season 1=Day 1, Season 2=Day 2 etc.)
- There have been 5 seasons with the sixth season starting January 14th
I had held off watching "24" because everybody I knew stated that "24" totally stressed them out. I figured I had enough stress at work that I didn't need to induce stress by watching this show. I also heard it was soooooo good that I didn't think it could possibly meet my expectations. Well, in August, I finally decided to give it a shot. 5 weeks and 120 episodes later I was caught up on the most amazing show ever!
Since then, I have shared the "24" experience with three new "24" fans that are watching it just about as quickly as I did. They agree, there is not another show out there that is this good.
There are many people at I work that watch (and love) the show and we will begin having weekly debriefing sessions once "24" starts back up in January. We will also start playing "Guess the 24 quote" game, this should make our conference calls go so much quicker :) Lastly, we will also have a screening of the Season 6 prequal as soon as it comes out on DVD, in early December.
So.......if you want to get in on the "24" fun, I suggest you start watching soon. This show rocks, it will not disappoint. Go Jack!

I guess nobody cares about 24....what a sad world :(
I am one of those that Kim has hooked on the show. It is a very interesting and entertaining show. It has a little of everything for everyone and just when you think you have it figured out, things change. Keeps you on your toes.
Yeah buddy, thats why you will be included in the 24 debriefing sessions. There needs to be a Jose on 24....
I have an interesting tid bit to share. I am wondering if Audrey (Jack's girlfriend) will be back next season. She is currently on "The Nine" as a district attorney. Her role seems to be pretty big on the new show. Guess we will have to wait untill January to find out!
Ok enough of the 24. I bet you have poster of whateverhisfaceis on the back of your door in your bedroom (next to your Saun Cassady). Saw first season that's it. Five years ago.
To Brad: I have information (BTW, I Love Audrey) She will be in Season 6 however we will probably see her in more of a supporting role and less of a primary role. She has been on several talk shows stating that she will be juggling both shows. I expect that we will see her more in the second half of the season than the first. "The Nine" is getting better (although I think the only thing it has going for it is Kim Raver's character) but it is not doing that great in the Ratings. We'll see if "The Nine" ends up making it. Actually, you can see an interview with her from yesterday and she talks about this very thing: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hseEHd4YuZY
To Jon: Guess you'll be left out in the cold come January.
hi, my name is dawn and i'm a 24-aholic...
:)
Yep- outside in the cold, looking into your window (Office) watching you and D watching 23.
j -
you'll be outside, looking in kim's office window...begging her to let you in!
:)
I don't like peeping Jon's....
OUCH! I'VE Been Hit! Save yourself!
look out jon! remember kim caught the last guy looking into her window with her treo 700w. the next time it could be your face we see peering through the blinds on this blog!
:)
How about HEROS or The Office???
Dawn, Dawn do we need to go all the way down to Davie Jones Locker - Actually I will taking video, outside looking in....with a T7000Z the latest and greatest(Not available to the little people). Selling them during the DUDA Parade. And I will supply the tortillas….HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.
I think we should incorporate this idea from Blog4Bauer.com for our 24 debriefing sessions:
"It's time that we honor Jack Bauer by spending a day making co-workers and loved ones nervous by talking like him.
To get the ball started, we need a date to set aside for "Talk Like Jack Bauer Day". Please vote or suggest a day in the comments section."
This practice may also help out with another idea mentioned in a separate blog on this site about helping people (read that "making" people)understand how I.T. can help them... even give them a GREATER appreciation of I.T.
It could help keep the customer's knee-caps in good, working condition.
It has been shown, quite evidently, and with some success,on many 24 episodes, how pain has a way of changing people's perceptions... we should explore this...
Like the saying goes... "4 out of 5 dentists... should kick that other guy's ass!"
Any thoughts?
BTW Kim... NOW you have to start reading Vince Flynn, like you promised.
I promise, you won't be disappointed! Just ask me, and I'll point you in the right direction on where to get started.
C'mon, Kim... time to join the Rapp Pack!!
Vincent!!!! This is great! Talk like Jack Bauer day.....we will definitely have that. I suggest we do it in early January to give others the chance to catch up. (Although I have to say, Dawn and I are way ahead of the game on the 24 quotes)
OK. I'll fullfill my end of the bargain. Which book should I start with?
Cool! Here's the breakdown, in order:
Term Limits
Transfer of Power
The Third Option
Separation of Power
Executive Power
Memorial Day
Consent to Kill
Act of Treason (latest)
