I overheard the following conversation this morning in the ER.
Patient's Daughter:Is he at risk for a stroke?
Doctor: He is at risk for everything
Patient: Everything?
Doctor: Heart Attack, Stroke, Diabetes, and everything else. You are in the highest risk group.
Patient's Daughter: Can we do anything else?
Doctor: Look, he's 75. The only thing you can do to make your chances worse is start smoking.
KT to David: I expect that next the doctor will hand him a gun.

That is the most morbid/unsympathetic thing I have ever heard a doctor say. And why the heck were you and David in the ER?

Kim you are in my prayers. Just know that this happening to you is not news to God. You are in his hands and trust that he will get you out of it.
Did I miss something why/who is the ER?
i just heard that this doctor is now applying to head up the suicide prevention unit.
