The Burger Bar

I realize this is another food post, like the umpteenth one in the last couple of weeks but I thought it was worth a blog. Laura Martin and I went to the Burger Bar in Vegas. The Burger Bar is located in Mandalay Bay and serves beef, buffalo, turkey and vegetarian burgers. After you have chosen your meat and bun type the cool part begins. They have tons of toppings to add to your burger and it doesn't just start with cheese.

You can add lobster, $30.00 for 1/3 of an ounce of truffles (Who would do this?, Has anybody every had truffles that can speak to why they are worth this), pesto, grilled onions, caramelized onions, raw onions. Bacon, Jalapeno-Bacon and Prosciutto are all available toppings. And don't forget the sauce choices: pesto, olive tampanade, salsa, cranberry sauce, and guacamole to name a few.

I had the beef burger with caramelized onions, jalapeno-bacon and cheddar cheese. Laura had the beef burger with guacamole and mushrooms. Yummy!

Kim, I have been on a diet for the last 13 weeks. Please stop with the food posts!

The burgers look great. I'm not sure about the truffles on a burger, though.

I love that putting toppings on your burger counts as "the cool part"... I think you need to branch out a bit more in Vegas ;)
