RumJungle In Vegas

I was trying to figure out a place to take the deployment team to dinner in Vegas and they all said they wanted to try this Brazilian Barbecue they saw on a billboard. I am not a fan of Brazilian Barbecue. If you have never been to one basically it's all you can eat meat and they bring out all different types and slice it at your table. Lamb, Tri Tip, Pork roast, chicken, sausage, Top Sirloin were all on the menu tonight. Now, I love meat but the problem is at every Brazilian Barbecue I have ever been to all the meat tastes the same.

I wasn't eager to do a Brazilian Barbecue but when Laura and I walked through Mandalay Bay we saw RumJungle and it looked pretty cool. I decided if they wanted to do Brazilian Barbecue we would try this place. Now if you are Kim Thomas are you really going to pass up a restaurant whose description is "Welcome to the Jungle" followed by "Guests pass through a 22-foot tall wall of fire and are met with the cool rush of a waterfall followed by a spectacular three-tiered dining area." 22 feet? I'm in!

So off we went to the Brazilian Barbecue. The ambiance was great but surprise surprise: The Tri-tip tasted like top sirloin, the chicken tasted like top sirloin, the lamb tasted like top sirloin, the top sirloin tasted like top sirloin......Don't get me wrong, the food was good but it will also be the last time I will ever eat Brazilian barbecue.

ooh, don't totally swear it off. When we meet up in GDL (I'm on a monthly schedule there now), we have to go to Scratch de Oro.
