I must say that my first visit was definitely better than the second. Although, I stayed in the new tower with the second visit and I must say, it was slick. Nice big bathroom, HD flat screen TV, computer desk and day bed (Not bad). The first visit, consisted of having the cutest baby ever, the second visit consisted of having a low heart rate. I was admitted on Sunday night to the hospital and have just been released. Here's the deal:
All tests results have been negative. This is most likely some sort of wacky post partum thing but nobody can really tell us why my heart rate is so low. It's usually in the 70's and now it is in the 40's, my BP has also been high. I have had an echocardiogram, several ekg's, doppler ultrasound of legs, cat scan, chest x-ray, numerous lab tests and a nuclear imaging lung scan. Of all the tests, the nuclear imaging was the worst because it meant that I have had to at least temporarily stop breastfeeding Sydney and not hold her as much.
It has most definitely been an emotional couple of days and certainly not the way I was expecting to spend part of my first week as a mom. At this stage being away from her sucks. My mom and sister have been so great. We couldn't have done it without them. Sydney stayed at mom's the last two nights. My mom is right now watching all three of her grandchildren and I am about to be released from this place.
I'm not really sure if there is a real problem or not. I have a follow up with the Cardiologist scheduled. Please keep us in your prayers.

You've definitely been constantly in my thoughts and prayers the past 2 days :( And Sydney, too, of course. And I suppose I should have been including G'ma Evans in there, too, with her having a housefull of kiddos!
QB should have just made that a shared thought :)
You definitely caused both of us 2 more days of lost productivity ;) We MISSED you and have been very worried!
I didn't know, Kim...I definitely be thinking of you a lot too!!! I hope they figure it out really soon!
Please get your new mom butt out of there and back home soon!!
Wow Kim, I have been so worried about you. I am so sorry you are going through this. You will be just fine, I have a good feeling about it. I will pray for you and your entire family. Please, do not hesitate in letting me know if you need anything at all. I am a quick 40 minute drive. xoxox
Kim,
Had I known you were at the hospital I would have sent you another cool email via "volunteer services" hee.
You are on my mind and in my prayers. I miss you lots!
Worried about you. Will be praying for you my dear.
Kim, you are always in our thoughts...I hope they find out what's going on real soon! And our best to little Sydney, too!
I didn't know about the heart rate, weird. Glad the tests came back normal.
Maybe it was just the side effect of the epidural, which will go away with rest and hydration.
Just take it easy!
Kim, like I already told you, I have been praying. It must be so frustrating not know what the heck is going on. I seriously thought that you would catch a break after what you went through early in your pg! I am thinking about you and I would like to see you and Sydney when you are up to it! Can I bring dinner or something????? I feel so useless!
IMY
You're in my prayers, Kim.

xoxo!
