Starbucks Is Changing Their Logo

You heard it here first! Starbucks is changing their logo back to their original logo. The original logo was used from 1971-1987 and is brown. I am not a huge fan of the brown logo and I am definitely not a huge fan of the full mermaid. Am I just reluctant to change? I don't think so, in my opinion the newer logo is definitely better. Oh well, I will still go and get my Iced Chai but life will never be the same again.

Anyhow, you can look for the new cups that feature the old logo to show up soon at a Starbucks near you.

Hmmm is this a 24 hour late post?

I'm not going to judge yet. I typically need to give things a week or so before I adjust to drastic changes.

And yes, I'm back to blogging.

Kim ... like the company has done a few times before, me thinks SBUX will be using their original logo on paper cups to roll-out their new everyday drip coffee blend--Pike Place Blend. Their logo ain't changing.

I like the new logo... the mermaid kinda looks like the Champ.

So yesterday my husband came home from work and told me the Starbucks cup he got that morning was black. He didn't notice the change in logo, just the color. I told him he was losing it and that the cups are all the same. I will have to tell him he was right and I was wrong!

I totally can see her nipples. (That is more useless than male nipples.)

Anyway, I don't like it. Maybe they should take the old-new logo and just make it brown.

P.S. Maybe some Starbucks will put you in labor! Good luck today.

i'm with you - i don't need a full-frontal-mermaid on my beverage. but, it might give new meaning to "careful, the beverage you're about to enjoy is extremely hot." =/

I am not a fan either. I really don't like the one they have right now all that much either. I can identify easily though. This one may easily blend into things and won't be as easily visible.

looks like it's true. at least partially - check out starbux site - and you'll see the new cup with old brown logo and nude mermaid. They still have the old green logo on the site though.
